This week we're getting our lavender products ready.  Inter...est...ing...ly we are veeeery relaxed and our work room smells devine!!!! ... Mmmmmm

The thing about being in the country is that I get distracted constantly by things as cute as this little guy.

Newly sharpened pencils

Its cold here today - winter is definately approaching. We're glad about this here at Chateau Boodles as we've had the chimney swept and its a great opportunity to light the fire - Mr Boodles has been collecting wood for months!!
The school holidays are coming to an end and the "mini boodles" are getting themselves organised. Winter uniforms are out and washed, kindy gear is pulled out of storage and the school & kindy bags are getting packed with things that I will shortly unpack. Have made some cute fabric pouches for the shop which the girls have discovered make fantastic pencil cases.
Anywho, in the mood for some more organising. Later

The Matangi Market was loads of fun! Doris was in her element and was quite the saleswoman!

Happy days!! We did it!!

Dont panic but our website has actually gone live today!! http://www.beaudisseandboodles.co.nz/ Yippee!! It is a momentous occasion for us as we built it ourselves with the help of the amazing Web Widgets team (http://www.webwidgets.co.nz/).

Now we're getting back down to sewing - just in the process of finishing off some gorgeous winter skirts. This Sunday we'll be at the Matangi School Market at Hamilton Gardens - thankfully its indoors so no gazebos to contend with. Doris (Jane) - gorgeous radio announcer friend from Sydney - flies in on Saturday so she's being volunteered for the market also. No doubt there will be some laughs!

So, lets sew....

Oh la la la laaa!!!! as Sebastien (Mr Boodles) would say! The workshop at B&B is a mess - we need those little elfs??? elves?? (that used to visit the shoemaker) to come in over night and tidy us up. That said, have started getting ready for the Matangi School Market which we'll be attending 28th March 2010 at the gorgeous Hamilton Botanic Gardens.

around here at the moment - as we

'work our fingers to the bone' (that saying has always puzzled me) sewing product to keep up with demand at the Lavender Farm. Alphra Lavenders farm (http://www.alphralavenders.blogspot.com/) is in full bloom and looking AMAZING.

The shop is also busy busy as people with impeccable taste buy our Beaudisse&Boodles lavender range as well as the gorgeous Alphra Lavenders Body Butter, Shower Gel and moisturisers just to name a few.

So happy new year to one and all. Welcome to 2010! The question everyone seems to be asking is, what are you going to call 2010. Is it going to be "two thousand and ten", or "twenty ten"? We are now well ensconced in the new decade, but I remain undecided. I'm leaning towards twenty ten - it sounds short and snappy. What are your thoughts?

We began our blog six months ago and it's really been a lot of fun. Thanks to our supporters - we hope our list of followers will continue to grow this year. We are aiming to have our website up and running by the end of January - we will be putting a link on our blog so make sure you check it out. We've been busy sewing this last week, replenishing stocks out at Alphra Lavenders - our products have been flying off the shelves. Favourites seem to be heat packs, sleep pillows and bonbons, but we will be displaying our gorgeous kids dresses out there also over the coming weeks. Look forward to seeing you soon.
