Far out - can not believe how fast this week has gone. The market went well last Sunday - it rained and we were waterproof and sans wind!! Yippee. Still quite a good number of people coming to the market regardless of the weather and we sold our products so that was cool. Not sure we have totally been accepted by the more experienced, diehard stallholders - its a close knit society. Oh but the laughs we have!!!!
Working on our website this week (and filling orders in between - thats got to be good). What I've learned is that the more I know, the more I realise I don't know! I'm easily distracted from it - I think its called avoidance.
Anywho, better get back to it - actually will have a cuppa T first.

Raindrops keep falling on my head
We’re off to Tirau market on Sunday and the weather is persisting down – yikes. Brings back a horrendous – no so distant past – memory of another market we attended. The weather turned against us on this particular day – at one point both Penny and I were holding down the gazebo from the random updrafts that seemed to be hitting us from any and every direction. The rain – oh, the rain! A couple of Canadian tourists ducked under our gazebo to break from the downpour only to announce that our gazebo wasn’t waterproof and quickly abandoned us for the water tight and secure gazebo next door. Our products were protected by a tarp we’d sensibly brought along with us – but the upshot from that was that our products couldn’t be seen and they turned in to a well kept secret.
Hopefully and with our new gazebo – apparently to withstand wind up to 120km/ph – it will all go well on Sunday. Our products are gorgeous – adorable skirts for girls, cosy soft scarves, craft packs as well as our gorgeous oilcloth doorstops and bags. It will be fab to get feedback and a nice pub lunch from the establishment right in the centre of the market – they do nice chips!
